Dudamel Foundation Welcomes Anne Akiko Meyers and Karthik Venkataraman to Board of Directors

The Dudamel Foundation is proud to announce that Anne Akiko Meyers and Karthik Venkataraman have joined its Board of Directors. Their expertise and passion for music and education will help advance the Foundation’s mission of transforming young lives through art and beauty.

Anne is a celebrated, GRAMMY-winning violinist and a lifelong advocate for music education. Known as “the Wonder Woman of commissioning,” she has brought countless new works to life and shared the joy of music with students around the world. She inspires students through mentorship, scholarships, masterclasses, and access to musical instruments.

Karthik brings extensive experience in global operations and a deep commitment to youth empowerment. In his role as Chief Operating Officer at Accion International, he expands financial inclusion and economic opportunity worldwide. Karthik is dedicated to building bridges between communities, using his skills to amplify voices of young people.

The Dudamel Foundation welcomes their leadership in advancing its vision of music as a basic human right.
