On May 2, 2026, students from INTEMPO, a Connecticut-based music education nonprofit serving children predominantly from immigrant backgrounds, traveled to New York City to experience Gustavo Dudamel and the New York Philharmonic in performance.

Following the concert, students had the opportunity to meet Gustavo, ask questions, and gain firsthand insight into the professional music world.

“Meeting Gustavo Dudamel was such an inspiring experience for me as a musician,” said INTEMPO violist Jasmine C. “Seeing his passion, energy, and connection to the music during the performance reminded me why I love music so much and inspired me to approach every performance with more emotion and purpose.”

We are deeply grateful to the New York Philharmonic for collaborating with us to provide free tickets for all the students and helping to make this visit possible.
